Dawgs Face Oregon State in Pac-12 Tournament First Round

UW (20-11, 10-8) vs. Oregon St. (15-15, 7-11)
UW heads to Las Vegas for the 2018 Pac-12 Tournament and will face Oregon State in the first round at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at the T-Mobile Arena. The game will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Ted Robinson, Bill Walton and Ashley Adamson on the call. Additionally, fans can tune into KOMO 1000AM and 97.7 FM to hear the official UW radio broadcast from Tony Castricone and Jason Hamilton. The two teams have met twice this season, both coming in the last 25 days splitting the wins with OSU taking a 97-94 2OT win in Corvallis (Feb. 10) and UW defeating OSU 79-77 on March 1 in Seattle. OSU owns a 2-1 record against UW in the Pac-12 Tournament while Washington has the overall series record at 160-141.
The Coach
Head Coach Mike Hopkins is in his first year at Washington, and first as a head coach becoming the 19th head coach in UW history. After spending 22 years as an assistant at Syracuse, Hopkins oversaw teams that reached the NCAA Tournament 16 times including the 2003 National Championship, four Final Fours, five Elite Eights and 10 Sweet 16s along with four NIT berths. Syracuse never dipped below a 55.0 percent record while Hopkins was on staff.

• UW's 20 wins in the regular season are its most since 2011-12 when UW won 21 games prior to postseason ... its the 28th 20-win season in UW history ... UW has made the NCAA tournament 12 times with 20 wins ... eight of those have been since the 1983-84 season, six coming since 2003-04
• UW has a 3-1 record over top 25 teams this season, defeating No. 2 Kansas on the road, No. 25 Arizona State and No. 9 Arizona with it's lone loss coming against No. 12 Gonzaga ... the last time UW had three wins over top 25 teams was the 2014-15 season
• Junior Noah Dickerson recorded his seventh 20-point game with 25 against OSU ... seven of his 11 career 20 point games have come this season and four have been in conference play this year

• Junior Matisse Thybulle is now sixth on the Pac-12 single season top 10 list for steals as he has 92 on the year .. he's the only UW player in the league's top 10 and is 18 off the top spot held by Jason Kidd of Cal (110 - 1993)
