SEATTLE – After a substantial home win last week, the #13 Washington GymDawgs travel to Tempe, Arizona this weekend to take on the #17 Arizona State Sun Devils on Saturday, February 17 at 10:30 am PT.
The GymDawgs achieved a new season high against Oregon State last week, taking down the #11 Beavers 197.000-196.500. Washington set a new season high on beam with a score of 49.350 and matched their season-best score on floor (49.375) and bars (49.200). That score of 49.375 on floor, helped along by scores of 9.900 by Evanni Roberson, Maya Washington, and Hailey Burleson, pushed the GymDawgs to ninth in the nation on floor. Riley's two individual event titles this season ranks second amongst GymDawgs: Burleson has five event wins, including beam and all-around titles against Oregon State, while Roberson has one floor event title.
Arizona State is ranked 17th in the nation entering Saturday's competition. The Sun Devils are in the top 25 in every event, led by their 14th-ranked bars squad.
