
Get To Know: Makena Carr

Makena Carr quickly got her feet wet in her first year of collegiate soccer, with a shot on goal in her very first action against #7 Florida. Carr would go on to start two games this season. She would assist on the game-winning goal against Oregon for her first career point. In all, Carr would play almost 500 minutes in her 16 appearances for UW.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
Winning state my last year in club soccer.
What's the coolest place you have traveled?
Paris, France.
What is something you want to learn?
I want to do a flip throw-in.
What's a talent you have people do not know about?
I used to play AAU basketball for F.O.H.
What is your favorite TV show?
Dynasty, Stranger Things, and Riverdale.
What is your favorite part of campus?
Drumheller Fountain because it's so beautiful on a bright sunny day with the mountain in the background.
What are some of your hobbies?
Traveling, hiking, hanging with friends, and listening to music.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Graduating from college and applying to grad school.
Why did you choose to come to Washington?
The opportunity to obtain a high-level education while at the same time playing the sport I love!
What is the best goal you've ever scored?
In the 2017 state championship game, I scored the first goal in the first five minutes. It was from about 35 yards out.
