HAWAII --- The Washington women's golf team completed play at the Pac-12 Preview on Wednesday at Nanea Golf Club. The Huskies finished the tournament in 10th place at 20-over par after shooting a 9-over round of 301 on the final day of play.
"I'm disappointed with our inability to finish," said head coach Mary Lou Mulflur. "It seemed to be a theme this week, we were going along pretty well and we struggled to finish the last few holes. We will get that sorted out and be better for it."
Senior Wenyung Keh lead the way for the Dawgs as she earned a tie for 18th place at 1-over par. Keh finished the tournament shooting a 3-over par round of 76. Keh added three more birdies in her third round, giving her 14 for the tournament which was second most in the field.
Sophomore Rino Sasaki shot a second consecutive 1-over round of 74 to finish the tournament at 7-over par and in a tie for 36th place. Senior Sarah Rhee tied for 38th place at 8-over par after carding a final round 3-over par 76.
Junior Karen Miyamoto carded a 3-over round of 76 in her final round, earning a tie for 41st place at 9-over par. Senior Julianne Alvarez finished tied for 51st at 15-over par after shooting a round of 82 on Wednesday.
Arizona won the team competition at 2-under par, finishing one stroke ahead of second place California. Yu-Sang Hou of Arizona and Tze-Han Lin of Oregon tied for the individual title at 6-under par.
"I'm super proud of the attitude the team has displayed all fall season," continued Mulflur. "They've been fun to work with and coach. We have things to work on over the winter and we are excited to get after it."
The Nanea Pac-12 Preview was the final event in the fall season in which the Huskies earned a share of the Nittany Lion Invitational title, won as hosts of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational by 24 strokes and finished fourth in the Stanford Intercollegiate. Rhee also earned her first individual collegiate victory at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational finishing at 8-under par.
