Get To Know: MaKayla Woods

After an amazing high school career, MaKayla Woods made her mark with the Huskies as a freshman. Woods worked her way into form as the season went on, earning three appearances in Pac-12 play. Against Arizona State, Woods played a season-best 25 minutes and scored her first goal on the first shot of her collegiate career. She will enter 2019 ready to provide energy and scoring touch to the Husky attack.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
Winning the state cup when I was 12 because we were so young and it was the first big tournament that our team had won.
What's the coolest place you have traveled?
Hershey, Pennsylvania, because the whole town smells like chocolate.
What is something you want to learn?
I want to learn ASL.
What's a talent you have people do not know about?
I can play the flute.
What is your favorite movie?
I Am Legend.
What is your favorite part of Seattle?
The UW campus, especially the quad in spring.
What are some of your hobbies?
Spending time with my family and hiking.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Playing soccer.
Why did you choose to come to Washington?
Campus is beautiful, but the coaches and the staff are amazing. UW also offers an amazing education.

An upper V shot that won us the game!
