
Huskies Get Past Seattle Pacific, 70-61, in Exhibition Contest

SEATTLE - University of Washington sophomore Jaylen Nowell lead the Huskies with 23 points and senior point guard David Crisp added 20 points for the Huskies en route to a 70-61 exhibition victory over the visiting Seattle Pacific Falcons Thursday night at Alaska Airlines Arena
In the first half, the Huskies jumped out to an eleven to nothing lead, but Seattle Pacific would rally to take a 27-26 advantage into the half. In the second half UW again started hot, going on an eleven to two run, but Seattle Pacific would again come back to tie the game at 40.
The Huskies were able to eventually pull away late in the second half on the way to a 70-61 lead over a persistent Seattle Pacific team.
Coleman Wooten lead the Falcons with 18 points and 10 rebounds on the night.
Matisse Thybulle was all over the floor tonight recording 8 steals, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 7 points in a stat stuffing effort.
The team defense for Washington was also impressive as they forced 19 Seattle Pacific turnovers and held the Falcons to just 37% shooting from the field.
The Huskies will kick off the regular season on Tuesday, November 6th as they take on Western Kentucky at 7:30 PM at Alaska Airlines Arena.
