Huskies Complete Play at UCSB Classic

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. --- The Washington men's Husky team completed play at the UCSB Classic on Sunday. Senior Piers Foley earned a third place finish in both singles and doubles play.
Sophomore Jack Davis beat Ty Gentry from Oregon in Singles Flight A 6-2, 6-0 to win his second singles match victory of the tournament. Freshman Ernesto Turegano Julian fell to Emannuel Coste of Oregon in the consolation bracket 2-6, 2-6.
In Singles Flight B, Foley earned a third place finish by beating Jackson Suh of Cal 4-6, 6-1, 3-1. (Ret.) Foley finished the event going 3-1 in singles play. Senior Sebastian Hawken finished in fifth place after beating Alex Scemenanco of UC Davis 3-5. (Ret.)
Freshman Adam Torocsik fell to Evan Felcher of Oregon 2-6, 7-6.
In Doubles Flight A, Davis and Foley took home third place after beating Kaya and Barretto of Cal 8-4.
The freshman tandem of Torocsik and Smith defeated Kaiser and Prost of Loyola Marymount 8-7 (6).
The Huskies will next be in action Oct. 11-15 when Washington hosts the ITA Northwest Regional Championships.
