Sommer and Lam Fall in First Round of ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. --- Seniors Enzo Sommer and Kawika Lam lost in the first round of the ITA All-American Championships singles qualifying draw on Monday.
Lam fell to Boriss Kamden of Tulsa 6-1, 6-4 in the first round matchup at Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Sommer was defeated 6-3, 6-2 by Matej Vocel of Oklahoma State.
Lam and Sommer will now turn their focus to doubles play as the duo is slated for main draw doubles action which will take place on Oct. 4. The Husky pair was one of 24 teams to be selected to the main draw with eight teams advancing from the qualifying tournament. The Lam and Sommer doubles pair was ranked No. 27 in the country by the ITA in the preseason poll.
