January 15, 2018 | Gymnastics
RENO, Nev. – In an exciting early-season meet, Washington improved their event scores on vault, bars, and floor in the second competition of a two-meet weekend. The GymDawgs took third with a team score of 195.725 in a meet that feature two teams ranked in the top ten in the nation. The GymDawgs had five performances over 9.850, including a 9.900 on bars from Madison Copiak that matched her career-best set on March 5, 2017.
Head Coach Elise Ray was very happy with the result, saying that she was "incredibly proud of the way the team handled themselves. Now it's time to take a bigger step forward this weekend at home."
