In his first season with the program, head coach Clancy Shields' team is led on the court by junior Shoti Meparidze, who has held down court one for Arizona this year. UW leads the all-time series with the Wildcats, owning a 20-11 record after defeating them last season 6-1 at Bill Quillian Stadium.
Currently at 14-6 and 0-2 in conference, Utah will host Oregon on Friday before taking on the Huskies Sunday. Like Arizona, the Utes began their Pac-12 schedule by dropping two 0-4 matches against Cal and Stanford. Sophomore David Micevski has led the charge for Utah this season, playing a majority of the season at the No. 1 position in singles. The Dawgs picked up two wins over the Utes last season, defeating them 4-3 during the regular season before winning by the same tally in the Pac-12 Tournament. Washington's two wins last year gave them the lead in the all-time series at 9-7.
Sunday's match between the Huskies and Utes will be on the Pac-12 Network, with the broadcast opening with the doubles at noon PT.
