Washington Wraps The Regular Season At Oregon State
November 07, 2017 | Men's Soccer
The Huskies close out the 2017 regular season on Thursday, traveling to Corvallis to take on Oregon State University at Lorenz Field at 2:00 p.m. Washington heads into the match, riding a three-match winning streak--all of which came via shutout. The Huskies defeated the Beavers 2-1 when the two met earlier this season in Seattle as Joey Parish scored both goals in the match.
Washington picked up six points on the Southern California road trip for the first time since San Diego State joined the Pac-12 in 2005, beating UCLA and SDSU by 1-0 scores. Those points proved huge as the Huskies are within two points of second-place California, which must play at conference champ Stanford in its final match. A win coupled with a loss by the Golden Bears would clinch second place for the Huskies. Despite its two huge road wins, the Huskies fell three spots to No. 20 in the latest NCAA/United Soccer Coaches Poll.
