
Huskies Earn Three Pac-12 All-Academic Selections

SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 Conference announced their 2016 Men's Tennis All-Academic teams today with three Huskies selected including junior Gal Hakak on the first team, and sophomore Mitch Stewart and junior Wendell Watanabe as honorable mentions.
This is the second straight appearance on the Pac-12 All-Academic teams for Hakak after he was selected to the second team last season. He leads the nine student-athletes on the first team with a 3.71 grade-point average in economics.
Appearing as honorable mentions, Stewart holds a 3.07 GPA as a pre major with Watanabe earning his third straight All-Academic conference honor carrying a 3.31 GPA in political science.
In order to be eligible for selection to the Pac-12 All-Academic teams, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and compete in at least half of the team's matches.
