Shelton Named To Rimington Watch List
May 17, 2016 | Football
Washington's Coleman Shelton has been named to the spring watch list for the Rimington Trophy, given annually to college football's top center.
Shelton, who will be a junior in the fall, is one of only three Pac-12 players named to the list. He made the move to center following the 2015 season after having started 20 games over the last two seasons at guard or tackle.
In 2015, Shelton, from Pasadena, Calif., started all 13 games, primarily at right guard, but also at left guard and left tackle. He won the UW's John P. Angel Lineman of the Year Award at the team's postseason awards ceremony.
