Softball Announces 2016 Summer Camp Dates

SEATTLE - The University of Washington softball program has announced 2016 summer camp dates. The Huskies will host seven camps for all different ages throughout the months of June, July, August and September. Campers can register at the Washington Softball Camps website.
Advanced Infield Play (Ages 12-18)
Location: Husky Softball Stadium
June 14-15, 2016
Starts: 5:00 p.m. / Ends: 8:00 p.m.
The Advanced Infield Play camp will cover the specifics of glovework, footwork and fundamentals necessary to improve all aspects of infield play, including throwing and transferring of the ball. This camp will be limited to the first 30 campers aged 12-18 to register and pay online.
Hitting Clinic (Ages 8-18)
Location: Husky Softball Stadium
June 20-21, 2016
Starts: 4:30 p.m. / Ends: 6:00 p.m.
The Hitting Clinic will focus on fundamentals of the swing by introducing multiple drills to learn and perfect the swing. No matter your age or ability, this clinic will address your needs. There will be ample opportunity to improve over this two-day clinic while working with UW coaches and players.
Pitching Clinic (Ages 10-18)

Starts: 6:30 p.m. / Ends: 8:00 p.m.
The Pitching Clinic will provide specific pitching instruction for all levels. Each player will walk away from the clinic with a concrete understanding of fundamentals and what the player needs to do on their own time to become a great pitcher.
UW Player Academy I (Ages 10-18)
Location: Husky Softball Stadium
June 22-23, 2016
Starts: 2:00 p.m. / Ends: 6:00 p.m.
UW Player Academy II (Ages 10-18)
Location: Husky Softball Stadium
July 19-20, 2016
Starts: 2:00 p.m. / Ends: 6:00 p.m.
Academy Cost: $500.00
The UW Player Academy is customized to provide a personal experience for the players, coaches, parents or teams that are interested in taking their game to the next level. By participating, you will have the opportunity to train like a Husky. Consisting of two days of complete softball training customized to fit the needs of each individual player, the UW Player Academy provides young players with a unique insight into the world of the UW Softball program, creating an experience that will last a lifetime.
Mini Dawgs (Ages 7-11)
Location: Husky Softball Stadium
August 10-11, 2016
Starts: 10:00 a.m. / Ends: 1:00 p.m.
Mini Dawgs is one of the most popular camps of the summer. Whether you're a Little League All-Star or a first time player, this camp is for you. This fun-filled camp includes specific skill instruction for all facets of the game: introducing the skills of pitching and catching, all infield and outfield positions and cover all facets of the offensive game. All Mini Dawg campers will receive a free camp t-shirt.
High School Showcase Camp (Entering grades 8-12)
Location: Husky Softball Stadium
September 4-5, 2016
The High School Showcase camp is for players who would like to play softball at the college level. This camp will address the advanced fundamentals of all facets of the game and intended for the high school varsity level softball player. Camp games played in Husky Stadium will be played featuring pitchers who throw 63+ velocity. Each camper will be assigned a camp team and will also participate in small group work by defensive position. Several college coaches work this camp from all levels-NCAA Div I thru Junior College. This is an elite showcase camp for the serious player. All campers will receive an official camp t-shirt.
