
No. 62 Huskies Sweep Arizona, 4-0, for Second-Straight Road Win

TUSCON, Ariz. – The No. 62 University of Washington men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend road trip with its second-straight win as the Huskies swept Arizona, 4-0, Sunday afternoon. The Dawgs are now 12-9 on the season and 2-4 in Pac-12 action.
Washington started the day by taking the doubles point with two swift victories on courts one and two. Viktor Farkas and Joao Barra earned a quick 6-2 decision over Jason Jaruvang and Matt Dun while Emmett Egger and Gal Hakak posted a 6-4 win on court one, securing the 1-0 lead. The duo of Jake Douglas and Wendell Watanabe were leading 5-4 on court three when play was stopped.
Singles action got off to the same start as Gal Hakak made quick work of David Mushayev on court two with his 6-2, 6-2 win. Emmett Egger followed suit at number three singles as he drilled out a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Jason Jaruvang. Viktor Farkas closed the day for UW with his 6-4, 6-1 win on court six over Trevor James. Jake Douglas took the first set from No. 56 Naoki Takeda, 6-4, at number one singles and was trailing 1-2 before play was stopped.
Only one regular season match remains for the Huskies who head to Oregon next Saturday, April 18, to take on the Ducks at 2 p.m.
