
Eight Huskies Honored On Pac-12 All-Academic Teams

SEATTLE – UW women's soccer had eight honorees named to the 2015 Pac-12 All-Academic teams as announced today by the conferece, highlighted by seniors Allyson Brahs and Megan Kufeld on the First Team and sophomore Dominique Bond-Flasza earning Second Team honors. Five Huskies earned Honorable Mentions.

Pac-12 All-Academic Teams Release
Brahs, a defender from Newport Beach, Calif., holds a 3.86 GA as a biology major. She started all but one game this season for the Huskies and was an integral part of the UW back line that recorded six shutouts in 2015. In total, Brahs made 81 appearances and 65 starts in her four years at Washington.
Kufeld, the Huskies' starting goalkeeper and one of three team captains, has a 3.97 GPA and is also a biology major. She is from Fremont, Calif. Kufeld has recorded five shutouts as started 20 of UW's 21 games in 2015. She is the Huskies' all-time leader in career shutouts with 21.
In addition to their status as Pac-12 All-Academic First Team honorees, both Brahs and Kufeld were named to the 2015 Academic All-District First Team for District 8 and are eligible for the 2015 Academic All-America Teams to be announced later this month.
Named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team, Bond-Flasza is a sophomore defender from Laguna Niguel, Calif. She holds a 3.73 GPA and is a business administration major. She recorded a goal and four assists this season and started 20 of the Huskies' 21 games in 2015.
The Huskies five Honorable Mention honorees are senior defender McKenzie Karas, junior defender Havana McElvaine, junior midfielder Amanda Perez, sophomore midfielder Shannon Simon and sophomore forward Rachel Wheeler.
