The Huskies will look to build off of their last tournament where they claimed the team title at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in Tacoma, Wash. The Dawgs easily handled the field, winning by a commanding 31 strokes. Additionally, freshman Julianne Alvarez took home the individual crown, finishing with the only under-par scorecard at the event at 5-under 211.
The field at the Stanford tournament is stacked featuring No. 1 USC, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Northwestern, No. 6 Arizona, No. 9 Stanford, No. 12 UCLA, No. 13 Arizona State, No. 15 Iowa State, No. 21 Washington, No. 22 Vanderbilt, No. 28 Oregon, No. 35 Auburn, No. 43 California, Pepperdine, San Jose State, UC Davis and Washington State.
"This is a really tough field, but thankfully we have already played against some tough competition this season which I think will help us," said head coach Mary Lou Mulflur. "Charlotte and Ying have also played this course quite a few times so they'll be able to help our freshman quite a bit."
The event will span three days and features 54-holes of stroke pay. Groups will begin from holes 1 and 10. All players will be re-grouped before each round based on respective scores.
