Wade Leads Five All-Academic Honorees

SEATTLE – Five members of the fifth-ranked Husky volleyball team were named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Team today, with junior middle blocker Melanie Wade picking up Second Team honors for the second year in a row.
Honorable mentions went to junior Katy Beals, junior Cassie Strickland, junior Lianna Sybeldon, and senior Krista Vansant. It is the second honorable mention for all four.
To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's games.
Wade, one of the most well-rounded players on the court, brings that same focus to the classroom, where she maintains a 3.77 cumulative grade point average majoring in Psychology.
