BOULDER, Colo. – UW women's soccer recorded its first tie of the season, a 0-0 draw in Colorado against the Buffaloes Sunday afternoon.
The Huskies (12-4-1, 5-2-1 Pac-12) finished their weekend road trip 1-0-1 and are still unbeaten in their last six games. Megan Kufeld and the UW back line have not given up a goal in four matches, running the Huskies' shutout total to seven.
Jaclyn Softli had the best chance for the Huskies in the overtime periods, heading a ball on frame that forced a diving save from Colorado keeper Kate Scheele. The Huskies were the aggressors but failed to come up with the game-winner.
In the second half, Soflti was pulled down on the edge of the box with a path to the goal, but there was no call made.
The Huskies finished with 11 shots, with Kate Bennett's five leading the team. Kufeld was credited with four saves.
Brie Hooks led the Colorado attack with four shots and Darcy Jerman recorded three. Scheele was credited with eight saves.
