Coach Gallimore on Smith: "It is going out on a limb to say this, because of all the great players on our team, but Smitty really is our best soccer player. While in her position, she knows exactly what every other position on the field is to be doing. When she is playing in the back, she can give quality instruction to anyone that is on the field. She definitely knows what needs to happen, she's vocal about it and she gets everyone organized. It was very apparent that when we lost her in the first game of the Pac-10 schedule last year that our team wasn't the same without her. Smitty is just a key to our success and we are hopeful that she can stay healthy enough to play that amount that we need her to play. When Kelli is at her best she is tremendous. Smitty is probably the most competitive player on our team. She wants to win everyday, wants to be her very best. "
