TUCSON, Ariz. -- Mother Nature reared its ugly head during the final round of the Arizona Wildcat Invitational and the golfers felt the brunt of her fury at Vistoso Golf Club on Tuesday. Winds gusted constantly at the desert course and the Washington Huskies were not immune to their effects.

The Huskies combined to shoot a 328 (+40), a day after rounds of 300 and 301. Three teams shot 303 on Tuesday, one of them coming from host Arizona, who won the tournament at +11 overall. California was second, 11 strokes off the pace set by the Wildcats. The Huskies finished 11th out of 16 teams at +65 (929).

Only one individual shot under par in the final round and only five golfers were under par overall for the tournament. Arizona's Isabelle Boineau won by two strokes and was -4 (212) overall.

Freshman Kelli Bowers was the top Husky finisher, tying for 17th. She shot a 6-over 78 in the third round - the only Husky in the 70's for the round. Bowers was +10 (226) overall. She shot a 76, 72 and 78.

Senior captain Karinn Dickinson was the next highest Husky finisher. She began the day in 13th but succumbed to the windy conditions today. She shot a 13-over 85 and ended up +14 overall (230).

Junior Sadena Parks ended up tied for 55th after a 9-over 81. She ended up +22 (238).

Sophomore Brittany Tallman shot a final round 84 and ended up at +27 overall (243) and tied for 68th.

A Ram Choi finished 75th at +33 (250).
