Huskies Finish 10th In Fall Finale

KUHUKU, Hawai'i -- The Husky women's golf team wrapped up their fall season with a 10th place finish at the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational.
The Huskies continued to crawl up the leaderboard on Wednesday, moving up three spots in the standings from 13th with a collective 299 in the final round. They were next to last in 17th place after the first round.
"It was a better day today," said Husky head coach Mary Lou Mulflur. "We had the fourth best round of any team today and that is encouraging. Going into the winter we're feeling pretty good, but we still have a lot of work to do."
Junior Anya Alvarez shot an even-par 72 on the final day and ended up tied for 14th. Alvarez shot a cummulative 5-over 221 for the tournament, saving her best round for last.
Sophomore Sadena Parks also saved her best for last and shot a 1-over 73. She entered the final round tied for 57th and moved all the way up to 33rd.
Karinn Dickinson also made a move on the final day. She entered the round tied for 65th but shot a 3-over 75 and moved up to 42nd.
Christina Yoon finished tied for 66th and Molly Aronsson ended up in 74th place.
The Huskies are now off until the Peg Barnard Invitational in February.
