ASU's all-time record in Tournament games is 9-5. Washington's all-time record is now 3-7.
This is the first time these teams have faced each other in the Tournament.
ASU's 83 points were the most it has scored in the Tournament, having scored 74 points in a 74-66 win over OSU in 2006 and a 74-64 victory over UCLA last season.
All five Sun Devil starters scored in double figures. Even so, its bench outscored the Washington bench 19-17.
The Sun Devils advance to the Tournament's semifinal round for the 4th consecutive season.
The game was tied four times in the game's first six and one half minutes, the last at 11-11.
After, two Sami Whitcomb field goals cut an ASU lead to 17-15 with 10:52 to go, the Sun Devils went on a 20-4 run during which the Huskies made only one FG; ASU led 37-19 with 3:32 to go in the half.

Washington Notes: Katelan Redmon has now started 31 games this season, setting a team record for a freshman. . . . She also notched her 20th double figure scoring effort of the season (15 points), a team high, and equaled her season/career high with 9 boards. . . . Laura McLellan scored in double figures for the 7th time of the season (14 points); this equaled her season and career high set earlier this season against Oregon.
Arizona State Notes: Dosty scored in double figures for the 12th time this season (17 points); she also achieved a double-double with 10 rebounds. . . . Lauren Lacy scored in double figures for the 23rd time this season (12 points). . . .
