LOS ANGELES (AP) - Tashara Carter scored a career-high 24 points and Denise Woods added 20 as Southern California beat No. 22 Washington 88-75 Thursday night.
The victory snapped Washington's three-game winning streak.
USC (12-15, 7-10 Pac-10) led by as many as 18 points in the first half before Washington (19-8, 12-5) went on a 22-7 run and closed within three, 40-37, at halftime.
Washington tied the game twice early in the second half, once at 42-42 after a 3-pointer by Giuliana Mendiola.
USC pulled away and led by nine points with 2 minutes left when Washington began fouling. Jessica Cheeks shot 7-for-10 from the line down the stretch to seal the win.
Andrea Lalum led Washington with 19 points.
