EUGENE, Ore. - Jaime Clark knocked in four runs off a homer and a long single on Saturday, and Jennifer Spediacci allowed just three hits to help top-ranked Washington to a 6-1 win over No. 22 Oregon. UW (40-4, 5-1) and the Ducks (24-15, 1-4) will meet again tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Clark walked in the first inning and redshirt freshman Jenny Topping doubled her home to start the scoring. Clark's blast, her 15th of the year, came in the third inning after junior Kelly Hauxhurst singled and senior Rosie Leutzinger was hit by a pitch.
Hauxhurst singled again in the fourth frame, and Leutzinger moved her to second. Junior Kim DePaul walked and Clark's singled brought Hauxhurst home. Oregon's Andrea Vidlund, who relieved Danielle Haag (3-1) in the middle of the fourth inning, sent a shot over the left center field fence to give the Ducks their only run of the game.
Spediacci (22-1) struck out eight in the complete-game win.
