Volleyball Falls To Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Washington volleyball team lost 3-0 to Sacramento State Tuesday night at Hornet Gym. Game scores were 15-6, 15-5, 15-8.
The Huskies, in the final week of a four-week road trip that included an 11-match tour of Holland, fell to 2-3 on the season while the Hornets improved to 3-2.
Washington was led by 15 kills from senior Kristina Laffling, who needs only 16 more kills to become the seventh Husky ever to reach 1,000 for her career. No other Husky registered double figures in kills.
Angela Lewis led Sacramento State with 18 kills and 11 digs, both match highs, and Sarah Chlebana chipped in with 17 kills.
This Thursday, the Huskies take on No. 1-ranked Pacific at the Pacific Nike Invitational at Stockton, Calif. Washington takes on St. Mary's Friday and Miami (Ohio) Saturday.
