Volleyball Wins To Improve to 4-4

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Washington volleyball team closed out its eight-game road trip by beating Miami (Ohio), 3-0, Saturday afternoon at the Pacific Nike Invitational. Game scores were 15-9, 15-4 and 15-7.
The Huskies were led once again by sophomore Allison Richardson, who posted a match-high 15 kills and three service aces. Co-captains Kristina Laffling and Emily Seacat each chipped in with 11 kills as Washington hit .398 for the match.
Miami (5-3) managed to hit only .091 and only one player, Mindy Collins, got into double figures in kills, with 10.
The Huskies return to Seattle this week to open Pac-10 Conference play. They'll play host to Stanford on Thursday and California on Friday.
