LOS ANGELES - The No. 17-ranked USC volleyball team beat Washington 3-0 Friday night. Game scores were 15-12, 15-9, 15-8.
The Huskies fell to 8-13 overall and 4-9 in the Pac-10 Conference. Third-place USC improved to 14-5 overall and 9-3 in the league, having won five in a row.
Washington got 16 kills from senior Kristina Laffling, who also had a team-high nine digs. Sophomore Lisa Underhill contributed 12 kills and four blocks.
Kashi Cormier led the Trojans with 23 kills and 12 digs. Antoinette Polk (17 kills) and Jennifer Paul (13) also reached double-figures in kills for the home team.
The Huskies return to Seattle to play host to the Arizona schools next weekend.
