High School and Personal: Born in Seattle ... parents are Jennifer and Bruce McPherson ... has one older sister, Jennica, who played volleyball at Western Washington from 2011-15 ... great grandmother, Helen Slater, graduated from UW in 1932 and played basketball, volleyball, and baseball ... named the 2015-16 Gatorade Player of the Year for Washington after leading Kennedy Catholic to the 3A state championship as a senior in 2015, playing outside hitter ... was named MVP of the state tournament in 2015 ... her team went undefeated in the Seamount League all four years and she was named league MVP as a sophomore, junior, and senior ... a 2015 AVCA All-America honorable mention ... a three-time Defensive Dandy from PrepVolleyball.com, which also ranked her in the Next 150 in its 2015 Senior Aces ... a Third Team All-American from MaxPreps in its medium schools category ... a 2015 Star Times All-Area selection by the Seattle Times ... made the Emerald City Classic All-Tournament Team in 2014 and 2016 and won Libero Award in 2015 ... won WIAA Athlete of the Week as a junior ... played club for Sudden Impact, PSVBA, and ITVC ... an experienced beach volleyball player, winning Puget Sound Region Beach Team of the Year and AVA Junior Beach Team of the Year in 2013 ... was Kennedy Catholic's Homecoming Queen ... graduated with a 3.7 grade point average.
