Yuki (Lamb) Igarashi is in her second season as a volunteer coach at UW in 2012-13.
She is no stranger to the Pac-12, having competed at Oregon state from 2004-08 on vault, beam and floor. She was the team co-captain for the 2007 and 2008 seasons. While she was there, OSU qualified for NCAA's from 2006-2008.
She was a three-time Academic All-American, earned the Arthur Ashe Award (three times), was a OSU Scholar-Athlete, the Pac-10 Post-Graduate Scholarship Recipient in 2008, ESPN All-Academic Team (2008), earned a Pac-10 Medal in 2008, 2008 all-conference second-team, 2008 Regional vault champion, First-Team All-American in 2008 on vault by placing seventh overall, in 2007 & 2008 earned the Joy Selig Award (voted by coaches) and in 2006, 2007 & 2008 was named Most Inspirational Teammate (voted by team.
While at OSU, she studied international business and marketing. She was on Student-Athlete Advisory Committee 2006-2008, and chosen to represent Oregon State athletics at the 2007 NCAA Leadership Conference in Florida. She was also in the Beta Gamma Sigma honor society for collegiate schools of business and named the OSU Senior Marketing Student of the Year (2008).
After OSU, she took a job with Hitachi Consulting from Feb. 2009-Aug. 2011 in Seattle as a management consultant.
In the fall of 2011 she started the MBA program at the UW Foster School of Business. During the season she will also co-webcast for Seattle Pacific University gymnastics meets with former Husky Carly Dockendorf.
Originally from Knoxville, Tenn., and currently lives in Seattle with her husband.
