Kyle Nobach
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
Kyle Nobach joined the Washington softball coaching staff in September 2021 as an assistant coach and enters his second season with the Huskies in 2023.
A Marysville, Washington native, Nobach brings a pedigree of winning and leadership to the Husky program. As a player at Oregon State, Nobach served as a team captain for the 2018 team that won the College World Series in addition to being named All-Pac-12 Honorable mention in 2015 and Pac-12 All-Academic in 2016 and 2018.
“Growing up just north of Seattle, my family and I were always around Husky athletics," Nobach said. "I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the University of Washington family. I am forever grateful to Coach Tarr for giving me an opportunity to develop champions and build a foundation for life-long success.”
After his playing career, Nobach joined the coaching ranks and quickly excelled. He was named the Associate Head Coach and Hitting Coach for the baseball team at Everett Community College in 2018. He then added the position of head coach of the Bend Elks, a summer collegiate baseball team, to his resume in 2019.
Nobach has also been an instructor as BASE by Pros since 2019, a baseball and softball training service based in Snohomish County. In his role there, Nobach helps hitters develop a better understanding of the process required to dominate at the plate, while also promoting a championship mindset.
At Washington, Nobach will in charge of offensive development and the outfield.
“Coach Nobach comes from one of the most competitive college baseball programs in the country. His time as a student-athlete at Oregon State combined with his recent coaching experience and head-coaching experience will bring a lot to our program,” head coach Heather Tarr said. “He was part of a national championship program while serving as team captain. These intangibles will bring a lot to the women in our program.”
