2018 MPSF 4x400m Relay Champion
2021: Led the team at 100-meters outdoors and 200-meters indoors and scored at Pac-12s on the 4x400m relay β¦ placed 14th at the Pac-12 Championships in the 200-meters in 21.52 seconds, and ran on the 10th-place 4x100m relay and the seventh-place 4x400m relay β¦ ran a 100m PR of 10.66 seconds to take second at the Jim Bush Legends Invite, and also was second in the 200m at the same meet in 21.23 β¦ ran a 400-meters PR of 48.66 at the Stanford Invitational β¦ second in both the 100m and 200m at the UW-WSU Dual, going 10.67 and a wind-aided 21.11 β¦ indoors, ran a 200m PR of 21.58 at the Husky Classic β¦ season-best 60m time of 6.93.
2020 (Indoor Track; Outdoor Season Canceled): Did not compete during the indoor season.
2019: An individual scorer for the first time at the Pac-12 Championships and a qualifier for NCAA West Prelims during his sophomore season β¦ placed seventh in the 200-meters at Pac-12s with a PR time of 21.05, while also helping the 4x400m relay finish fourth in a season-best time of 3:09.22 β¦ finished 32nd overall at West Prelims in Sacramento in the 200-meters with a time of 21.10, and ran on the 4x4 which was 19th in 3:10.30 β¦ ran a 100-meters wind legal PR of 10.60 at the National Relay Championships in Arkansas and had a wind-aided best of 10.51 at the Ken Shannon Invite β¦ at the UW-WSU Dual was second in the 100m in 10.49 (+5.1) and won the 200-meters in 21.69 and ran on the winning 4x100m relay β¦ part of the teamβs top 4x100m relay, which won the Stanford Invitational in 40.53 β¦ indoors, won the Last Chance Elite Meet with an indoor 200m PR of 21.69 β¦ at the MPSF Championships, was 16th in the 200m in 21.87 and seventh on the 4x400m relay in 3:14.19 β¦ a 60-meters PR of 6.92 seconds at the Last Chance Elite Meet.
2018: Made a big impact in his first season, running on both Husky relays that scored at Pac-12s and advanced to NCAA West Preliminaries, as well as running on the 4x4 that won the MPSF conference title β¦ outdoors, was the lead leg on the 4x4 which took fourth at Pac-12s in 3:08.81 and ran second on the 4x1 that was sixth in 41.25 β¦ ran the same legs on the relays at West Prelims, as the 4x1 was 14th overall in 40.50 and the 4x4 was 21st in 3:08.91 β¦ ran a 200m season-best of 21.57 at Pac-12s to finish 13th β¦ at the UW-WSU Dual, helped the 4x1 win in a season-best time of 40.16 and was second in the 200m in 21.58 β¦ had a wind-aided time of 21.39 to take second in the 200m at the Pepsi Team Invite and was 10th in the 100m in a wind-aided 10.70 β¦ indoors, ran on the 4x400m relay that captured the MPSF title in 3:09.57 and also ran the 400m leg on the DMR that was fourth in 9:52.86 while taking 19th in the 200m in 22.27 β¦ a season-best indoor 200m time of 22.25 at the UW Indoor Preview and ran 7.00 in the 60-meters.
High School and Personal: Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic β¦ parents are Jacqueline Suarez and Jose Luis Santana β¦ has three older brothers, Gabriel, Misael, Adriel; one younger brother, Chris, and one younger sister, Gabriela β¦ the Washington 4A State Champion at 200-meters, running a big PR of 21.35 seconds in the final, just slightly wind-aided at +2.1 β¦ in the prelims, ran a wind-legal best of 21.62 seconds β¦ also took fourth in the 2017 100-meters final in 10.64 seconds and third in the 400-meters in a PR of 48.99 β¦ ran at the Junior Olympics Nationals in 2017, placing 11th in the 200-meter semifinals in a time of 21.47 and was 35th in the 100m in 10.87 β¦ won the NPSL 100m and 200m titles as a senior β¦ named schoolβs Athlete of the Year in 2017 β¦ graduated with a 3.63 GPA.
