Henry Prosser returns to the UW men's rowing team coaching staff for his second year in 2018-19.
Prosser, a Portland native who rowed at Oregon State, joined the UW staff as an intern coach in 2017-18 after spending the spring of 2017 coaching the Oregon State's Women's Rowing team.
At UW in his role as an assistant coach, Prosser will continue to work with the development of student-athletes while also enhancing UW rowing program's digital outreach through his expertise in social media and graphic design. He'll also oversee and expand the UW's live streaming system that Prosser helped implement for the 2018 racing season.
Along with his time working with the Oregon State women's team, Prosser also served as a volunteer assistant coach for the OSU mens' team for the 2015-16 season, helping the Beavers to a 17th-place finish at IRAs that year.
After completing his collegiate rowing career, Prosser spent the summer of 2014 rowing for the New York Athletic Club, winning gold in the intermediate men's 8+ and senior men's 8+ at the 2014 USRowing Club National Championships. He was also part of the NYAC Under-23 men's 8+ that won Canadian Henley.
He was also an assistant coach at the Pennsylvania Athletic Club Rowing Association (Penn AC) with the junior program in 2014 and coached the Penn AC Under-18 Junior Pair at the 2015 Club Nationals. Additionally, he was head novice men's coach at Rose City Rowing Club in Portland, the club for which he rowed prior to college, in the summer and fall of 2016.
Prosser graduated from Oregon State with a degree in speech and communication in 2016.
