Since joining Washington prior to the 2016-17 season, Murray has helped Washington remain one of the best programs in college golf. Highlighting Murray's tenure leading the Husky program, Washington enjoyed one of its most successful seasons evern in 2021-22. The Huskies, playing as the host at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Washington, won the Pac-12 Championship, with senior Noah Woolsey also winning medalist honors, in dramatic fashion, as the individual title came down to the final hole.
The 2021-22 season included a remarkable six team tournament titles, capped by the Pac-12 victory. Murray also coached transfer student RJ Manke, who spent much of the season as the nation's top-ranked college golfer, earning Pac-12 Golfer of the Year and first-team All-America. The Huskies also ahd three all-region selections and Murray himself was honored as Pac-12 Coach of the Year.
Murray also guided the Dawgs to tremendous heights in 2023-24, spending the bulk of the season ranked inside the top-10 of the Clippd and Golfweek national rankings, reaching as high as No. 3. The Huskies' success was built off the back of its depth, with all five of UW's primary lineup registering multiple top-10 finishes. Washington dominated on its home turf at Gold Mountain Golf Club, claiming the Husky Invitational by 26 strokes with a 40-under 824, the seventh-lowest three round scoring in program-history. Senior Taehoon Song earned his first career medal, carding a career-low 63 in the opening round en route to a 15-under 201.
The Huskies also put together a historical set of rounds at the Amer Ari, setting the program record with an 18-under 262 during the second round, ultimately posting the second-lowest 54-hole score in program history at 807, 54 shots under par. Less than two weeks later, graduate student Petr Hruby tied for runner up at the Prestige at PGA West, tallying an 11-under 202 with three straight rounds in the 60s.
Hruby earned his third-straight All-Pac-12 honor, landing on the First Team for the first time in his lauded career. Song joined Hruby with a Second Team All-Pac-12 nod, while Teddy Lin earned an Honorable Mention spot for his second all-conference plaudit. Koelle rounded our UW's All-Pac-12 honorees with All-Freshman recognition. Both Hruby and Song also earned all-region laurels, with Hruby garnering an Honorable Mention All-American selection from PING.
Through the end of the 2024-25 season, the Huskies have won 12 tournaments as a team and had 15 individuals earn medalist honors during Coach Murray's tenure. During that same span, the Huskies have produced a first-team All-American, two honorable mention All-Americans, nine All-West Region golfers, two All-Pac-12 first-team selection, seven All-Pac-12 second team members, five All-Pac-12 honorable mentions and 20 All-Pac-12 Academic members, along with a Pac-12 Player of the Year.

In 2021 the Huskies had three golfers earn All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention honors and finished fourth at the Pac-12 Championship. They would go on to the NCAA Cle Elum Regional and tied for seventh, the second NCAA appearance with Murray at the helm.
The Huskies were poised for great things in 2020 before the pandemic hit. They won three tournaments as a team and had two Pac-12 Golfers of the Month in Petr Hruby and Noah Woolsey before college golf shut down. Woolsey was medalist in two events, winning the Old Town Club Collegiate and sharing top honors with Henry Lee at the Georgetown Intercollegiate. Lee also won the Arizona Intercollegiate and Jan Schneider tied for the win at the Husky Invitational. Woolsey was a PING Honorable Mention All-American and was joined on the GCAA PING All-West Region team by teammate Henry Lee.
In Murray's second season, he instructed Second Team All-Pac-12 Golfer Carl Yuan and helped him finish 16th at the NCAA Championships. Yuan would record four top-10 finishes, including second at the Pac-12 Championship.
In his first year at Washington, Murray helped guide the Huskies to a third-place finish at the Pac-12 Championships and seventh place at the NCAA West Regionals. During the season, Washington placed in the top five in seven tournaments and had one individual medalist (Corey Pereira – Querencia Cabo Classic). In addition, two Husky golfers earned PING All-West Region honors (Pereira and Carl Yuan) with four earning Pac-12 All-Academic honors (Yuan – 1st team; Kevin Kwon – 2nd Team; Frank Garber and Pereira – Honorable Mention).
