
Men's Golf 2025-26 Season In Review

SEATTLE – Washington men's golf finished the season ranked as the No. 45 team nationally, up from No. 104 last season.
THIRD AT BIG TEN CHAMPIONSHIPS
The team finished in third place at the Big Ten Championships in North Plains, Ore, scoring a combined 842 (+2). It is the best team finish for Washington in a conference tournament since they won the Pac-12 Team Championship in 2022. It is the program's 17th Top 3 finish in a conference tournament. The Huskies had two top 10 finishers, as Finn Koelle placed second shooting 205 (-5), becoming the 12th Husky to finish as a conference tournament runner-up, and Emil Herstad tied for ninth with a score of 209 (-1). Koelle was also named to the All-Tournament Team.
NCAA REGIONALS
Three Huskies traveled to the NCAA Regionals to compete as individuals. Jacob Goode, Finn Koelle and Emil Herstad all finished in the top 20. Koelle and Herstad both shot 208 (-5) to tie for ninth and Goode shot 210 (-3) to tie for 18th. This is the first time since 2015 that two Huskies have finished in the top 10 at the NCAA Regionals.
ALL-REGION HONORS
Jacob Goode, Finn Koelle and Emil Herstad were all named to the All-Big Ten Second Team, and Herstad also earned All-Freshman Team honors. Freshman Grady Millar was named to the Big Ten Sportsmanship Team.
PLAYER-BY-PLAYER SEASON
Jacob Goode became the seventh Husky all-time to shoot under 200, with a 199 (-17) at the Amer Ari in January. He had a pair of Top 10 finished, six rounds in the 60s and 10 rounds under par. In his lone season as a Dawg, Goode had the third-best scoring average at 72.4. Goode had a team-low round of 64 (-6) this season at The Goodwin and had a 7-under round (65) at the Amer Ari.
Herstad led the team with his 71.1 scoring average in his six events he played in since arriving to campus in January, making it the 19th-best average in a single season in program history. Twice Herstad posted tournament scores of 209 at the Southwestern Invitational and this at the Big Ten Championships. Herstad is the fourth Husky to be named to a conference All-Freshman Team joining Corey Pereira (2014), Carl Yuan (2016) and Koelle (2024). Herstad, Pereira and Chris Williams (2010) are the lone freshman to also be named to a first or second conference team since 2010.
Koelle earns his second career conference nod after being named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team in 2024. He also became the first men's golf member in program history to win the Big Ten player of the week. This season, Koelle was runner-up at the Big Ten Championships at 5-under. He posted the second-lowest scoring average on the team at 72.2 and a team-best 12 rounds under par while having seven rounds in the 60s. Koelle was the lone Husky to compete in all 11 tournaments this season.
Jake Foley shot a career best 209 (-7) at the Tindall, also marking his career best finish at sixth place. He also competed at the Big Ten Championships.
Brock Maulding finished second on the team at The Tindall with a 5-under 211 for first career tournament under par. Also shot a 215 (-1) at the Amer Ari.
Grady Millar was named to the Big Ten Sportsmanship Team. He competed in 10 of 11 events, with his best finish being 210 (-6) at the Tindall, where he tied for 8th. Shot a 209 (-7) for his lowest 54-hole finish.
Jack Murphy shot a career low 207 (-9) at the Amer Ari. His best finish of the season came at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, where he tied for 21st at 216 (E).
Vidur Subramaniam competed as an individual at the Sahalee Players Championship and the Tindall. Low round of 74 at the Sahalee Players Championship where he finished tied for 62.
