Played cornerback, safety and wide receiver at Jesuit … helped lead the Crusaders to the quarterfinals of the state’s 6A playoffs as a senior in 2023 … helped team to a 9-2 record and the state quarterfinals as a junior in 2022 … also played on the varsity as a freshman and sophomore, earning first-team all-conference at safety and second-team at slotback as a sophomore … father, Nigel Burton, was a three-year letterman defensive back (1996-98) at Washington, earning Academic All-Pac-10 each of those three years … Nigel captained the Huskies in 1998 and went on to become head football coach at Portland State (2010-14) … Jace played football at Jesuit for coach Ken Potter.
