"Being a student-athlete at Washington has enabled me to obtain an incredible education while having the opportunity to compete at a top collegiate athletic institution. I have grown as an athlete in my specific sport, but more importantly, I have grown as a person. I will take away incredible experiences that will further my opportunities for future pursuits, and I will take away unforgettable memories!" |

Scholarships
The University of Washington Intercollegiate Athletics Program supports over 650 student-athletes who proudly wear the purple and the gold. These young men and women represent the UW both in the classroom and in their arenas of competition. Their success brings great pride and recognition to the University, and to all Husky alumni and friends.
For our student-athletes, scholarship assistance is key to their overall success as Huskies. The athletic department currently funds the maximum scholarships allowed by the NCAA. Tyee contributions have long provided scholarship funds for all of our 23 sport programs. However, the cost of tuition continues to rise dramatically. Keeping pace with the increasing scholarship support is critical to remaining competitive on a national level.
Your contribution to either the Husky Scholarship Fund, or through endowment can help provide a student-athlete a once in a life time opportunity to become a Husky.
Scholarship Giving Levels Purple and Gold Scholarship: $2,500 *Partial or Coach's Scholarship: $5,000 *Full or Director's Scholarship: $10,000 * Invitation to Annual Scholarship Luncheon
Endowments
The goal to fully endow the scholarship program is a top priority of the UW Athletic Department. A gift to the endowment program is invested into a fund managed by the University. A portion of the interest earned from the investment provides annual scholarship support. The remaining earnings are reinvested to grow the endowment and to provide scholarship and other program support in perpetuity.
Endowed grants-in-aid cover educational fees, books, and room and board for our student athletes. Endowments may be specified for teams, individual positions, coaching positions, or general program support.
