One of the top returning heptathletes in the nation ... ranks second all-time at UW in both the heptathlon and pentathlon ... is also among the all-time UW best in the 100m HH and long jump. 2003-04: Finished the 2004 season ranked among the top-10 Canadian women in the heptathlon (6th), long jump (7th), triple jump (9th) and 100m hurdles (9th) ... placed 21st in the hep at the NCAA Championships ... competed in five events at the Pac-10 meet ... was fourth in the Pac-10 hep with a score of 5,225, second-best ever at UW ... placed ninth at Pac-10s in the long and triple jumps, was 10th in the 100m hurdles, and led the 4x100m relay to sixth ... clocked 13.98 in the Pac-10 100m hurdles prelim, sixth-fastest ever at UW ... 2004 triple jump best of 38-11 3/4, also at Pac-10s, was just three inches shy of UW's all-time top-10 ... was UW's top long jumper outdoors, at 19-6 1/2 ... at the MPSF indoor meet, placed fourth in the pentathlon, eighth in the long jump and ninth in the triple ... MPSF pent score of 3,592 was second-best ever at UW ... indoor long jump best of 19-6 1/4 tied for UW's sixth-best ever. 2002-03 (Lewis University): Earned NCAA Division II All-America honors with Lewis' 4x100m relay ... relay's best of 45.77 seconds was a school record ... also competed at D-II nationals in both the triple and long jumps, placing 11th and 12th, respectively ... was named conference Athlete of the Year after winning five events at the 2003 GLVC Championships ... won individual GLVC titles in the 100m HH, long jump, triple jump and heptathlon, and added another in the 4x100m ... indoors, added a pair of GLVC titles in the 55m HH and the triple jump, and was second in the long jump. 2001-02 (Lewis University): Competed as a freshman at Lewis University.
High School and Personal: Born Sept. 8, 1982 in Harare, Zimbabwe ... has five siblings: brothers Blessed and Emmanuel, and sisters Sitembile, Thandiwe and Thabiso ... earned Ontario provincial long jump title as a junior in 2000 ... was named Vaughan's Athlete of the Year that same season ... served as captain all four seasons ... majoring in economics ... interested in teaching economics at the collegiate level.
