Men's Soccer Explodes For Six Goals Vs. Tacoma Tide

TUKWILA, Wash. - As spring season starts to come to a close, the UW men's soccer team was impressive against the Tacoma Tide on Friday night at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, Wash. UW won 6-1, scoring three goals in each half.
Junior Brent Richards (Camas, Wash.) led the team with two goals and two assists. Richards, along with freshman Michael Harris (Shoreline, Wash.) assisted on the third goal of the game on a great passing play to the left side to freshman Zach Portillos (Aurora, Colo.).
Richards also assisted Ben Fisk on the fifth Husky goal. He scored the first goal of the second half on an assist by Charlie Ranahan and the second was the final Husky goal with just a few minutes remaining on a nice pass from junior Casey McCool (Bend, Ore.).
Junior Dylan Tucker-Gangnes (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) scored the first goal of the game about 10 minutes in from the right side. Approximately 10 minutes later, sophomore Quinton Beasley (Camas, Wash.) beat the keeper and scored on the left side.
The lone goal for the Tide came late in the second half on a bicycle kick.
Former Husky Daniel Gray played for the Tide and started in the game in the midfield.
The Huskies will conclude the spring season at Western Washington University in Bellingham on May 7 at 7 p.m.
