Greene Selected To Shaun Alexander Freshman Of The Year Watch List

SEATTLE – Offensive lineman Kodi Greene has been named to the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year watch list, The Maxwell Football Club announced today.

The Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award has been presented to the College Freshman Player of the Year since 2018 and is named in honor of Shaun Alexander, a former standout at the University of Alabama and the 2005 NFL MVP with the Seattle Seahawks.

Greene makes his way to Montlake after spending his senior and junior high school seasons at Mater Dei after having attended Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, Wash.). As a senior, Greene helped lead the Monarchs to an 8-3 overall record and to the championship game of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs and was selected to play in the 2026 Navy All-American Bowl. As a junior, Greene earned Trinity League Most Valuable Lineman and All-Orange County while guiding Mater Dei to a 13-0 record and the No. 1 team in the nation.

Coming out of high school, Greene was rated the No. 1 prospect in the state of California, the No. 4 offensive tackle in the nation and the country's No. 20 overall prospect by 247Sports.com.
