Dawgs Conclude Season At NCAA Corvallis Regional
May 20, 2026 | Men's Golf
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Emil Herstad and Finn Koelle tied for ninth while Jacob Goode finished in a tie for 18th as Washington men's golf concluded the season at the NCAA Corvallis Regional at Trysting Tree Golf Club.
UW had a pair of Top 10 finishers in a Regional for the first time since 2015 when CT Pan (1st) and Jonathan Sanders (10th) led the Dawgs to a fourth-place team finish at Gold Mountain.
Koelle opened the round with a birdie at the opening hole. He bogeyed back-to-back holes on the front nine but bounced back with birdies at eight and nine. A costly double bogey at the 13th hole put him back to over par for the round. Koelle once again bounced back with a birdie and an eagle to move him into 7-under overall for the tournament. Koelle had bogies on the final two holes to complete the tournament at 5-under after an even par (71) final round.
Herstad had all pars on the opening nine holes after a couple of birdie putts scooted just by the hole. He opened the back nine with a birdie on the 10th, but a double and a bogey down the stretch took him out of the running for the individual qualifier spot – which was awarded to Liberty's Michael Lugiano (-12) as the top finisher from non-advancing teams. Herstad was 2-over (73) for the final round and 5-under overall.
Goode was steady over the first nine holes with a pair of birdies and a bogey. However, the back nine saw an eagle, three birdies and two double bogies for an even par (71) final round. Goode was 3-under overall for his sixth Top 20 finish of the season.
