
Beach Dawgs Set For Boise State Beach Bash

SEATTLE – Washington heads to Boise, Idaho for the Boise State Beach Bash this weekend, April 10-11.

The Huskies open tournament play on Friday against South Florida at 9:00 a.m. PT, followed by a matchup with No. 11 Grand Canyon at 3:00 p.m. PT.
On Saturday, Washington will open the day by facing Florida International at 10:30 a.m. PT. Their second matchup is against host, No. 19 Boise State at 4:30 p.m. PT.
Washington opened the weekend with a 5–0 sweep of Houston Christian, controlling the dual with four straight-set wins. Avery Towne/Alina Urzua secured the first point, while Emma Hohenauer/Katarina Pantovic led the top court. Niki Egan/Mariana Tomasova closed out the match with a three-set victory.
The Huskies then fell 4–1 to Tulane, which built an early lead and held on to clinch the dual. Ella Tyus/Sarah Wilcock provided Washington's lone point with a straight-set win.
Washington closed Friday with a 5–0 loss to No. 3 Texas, with the Longhorns sweeping all five courts.
Saturday's matches were canceled due to weather.

The Beach Dawgs return home for their first and final home matches of the season, highlighted by Senior Night as five seniors will be honored on Saturday. All matches will take place at Alki Beach in West Seattle. Action begins Friday, April 17, with Washington facing Portland at 12:30 p.m. PT, followed by Florida Atlantic at 3:00 p.m. PT. The weekend continues Saturday with No. 19 Boise State at 11:15 a.m. PT, before closing out against Oregon at 3:00 p.m. PT.
