Huskies Punch Ticket To NCAA Tournament
April 27, 2026 | Women's Tennis
SEATTLE – Washington women's tennis will make their 20th NCAA Tournament appearance – and fifth consecutive – as the team travels to Charlottesville for the first and second rounds.
UW is the 2-seed in the regional and will face 3-seed Liberty on Saturday at 8 a.m. PT. Host school and seventh overall seed Virginia faces 4-seed Saint Francis at 11 a.m. PT. The winners of the two matches will meet on Sunday at 10 a.m. PT for a spot in the Round of 16.
The winner of the Charlottesville regional will compete against the winner of the Baton Rouge regional which sees 10-seed LSU, TCU, Rice and Stephen F. Austin the following weekend.
Washington last appeared in the Charlottesville Regional in 2024.
The Huskies are coming off a 18-4 regular season and were the 5-seed in the Big Ten Tournament where they advanced to the Quarterfinals. Reece Carter (first team) and Erika Matsuda (second team) were named to All-Big Ten teams last weekend.
