SEATTLE – For the second time this month, Reece Carter has been named Big Ten women's tennis player of the week, the conference office announced today.
Carter secured the biggest singles win of her career, defeating the fourth-ranked individual, Luciana Perry from Ohio State. Carter won her match in straight sets on Sunday, 6-4, 6-4. This season, Carter is 17-1 in singles during the dual season at the No. 2 spot. Alongside doubles partner, Jermine Sherif, the duo is 13-4 together at the No. 3 spot.
No. 23 Washington returns to the court for the first round of the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday, April 23 against 12-seed Penn State. The match will begin at 8:30 a.m. PT and stream on B1G+.
