Huskies Conclude Action At The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. – Washington men's golf posted its best round of the tournament on the final day of The Goodwin at Stanford Golf Course, shooting even par as a group.
The Dawgs finished in a tie for 14th at 10-over (850) overall. It is the third-best gross tournament score of the season behind the Amer Ari Invitational (824) and The Tindall (846).
UW was just one of nine schools today to shoot even par or better in the 30-team field.
Jacob Goode led the Huskies with his second Top 10 finish of the season, finishing in a tie for eighth at 5-under (205). Goode closed out the round with three straight birdies to post an even par round.
Jack Murphy closed out the tournament with his best round of the weekend, shooting 1-under (69) and climbed up 41 spots on the leaderboard. He finished at 7-over overall.
Freshman Emil Herstad also had his best round of the tournament with an even par (70). He bounced back from back-to-back bogies on the front nine with two birdies in the final five holes. Herstad moved 17 spots up into a tie for 66th at 5-over.
Finn Koelle tied with Murphy at 7-over for the tournament after his final round of 1-over (71). Koelle also made one of the bigger moves on the day, jumping 21 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for 78th.
Grady Millar rounded out the lineup in a tie for 88th at 8-over (218). Millar had a final round 73 (+3) improving by three shots from round two.
Washington will be back in action at the Western Intercollegiate April 13 through 15 to close out the regular season schedule. The tournament will air on Golf Channel and scoring is available through Clippd.
