
No. 20 Washington Improves To 14-1

SEATTLE – No. 20 Washington women's tennis swept No. 60 Northwestern, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at the Bill Quillian Tennis Stadium.
The Huskies improve to 14-1 and 5-1 in Big Ten action.
Reece Carter and Jermine Sherif were the first Husky doubles duo to finish with a 6-3 win on Court 3. On Court 2, Alexia Jacobs and Marie Weissheim picked up their first ranked win with a 6-4 victory over the 81st-ranked doubles team to clinch the point. The Jacobs-Weissheim duo is 10-0 on the season.
Karolina Kozakova officially made her UW debut and cruised to a straight-set victory on the No. 5 court, 6-0, 6-3.
No. 70 Erika Matsuda put the third point on the board with her 6-1, 6-4 victory on the No. 1 court with a win over the 87th-ranked singles player.
Sixty-fourth-ranked Carter secured the match with her 6-4, 6-2 win on Court 2. She is now 13-0 on the season.
