October 07, 2026 | Men's Tennis
SEATTLE - The Huskies are set to host the 2026 ITA Northwest Regional Championship in Seattle, Wash., from Oct. 15-20.Â
Washington hosted the Northwest Regional in 2024, when the individual NCAA Championships moved to the fall. Two years later, the championship returns to Montlake and the Nordstrom Tennis Center.Â
In the 2025 Northwest Regional, Soham Purohit became the first Husky in more than twenty years to take the championship title and advance to the NCAA Singles Championship. Before Purohit, the Huskies had seven finals appearances since 2002, when Matt Hanlin claimed the title. While hosting in 2024, Cesar Bouchelaghem advanced to the NCAA Singles Championship after reaching the regional final.Â
Purohit, along with six other Huskies, will now look to make their mark as Washington hosts the 2026 Northwest Regional Championship. The singles qualifying draw will take place on Oct. 15, with the main draw beginning Oct. 16 and continuing through Oct. 19. The singles third place match will take place on Oct. 20. The doubles main draw will begin Oct. 16, with the championship final on Oct. 20th.Â
The two singles finalists and doubles champions will earn an automatic berth to the 2026 NCAA Individual Championships.Â
