BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- A second half comeback fell short Sunday night inside Assembly Hall as the Huskies dropped the first matchup of 2026 to the Hoosiers, 80-90.
Five Huskies reached double digits and were led by Hannes Steinbach's 20-point, 10-rebound performance, his ninth in 11 games.
Desmond Claude added 18 points and Zoom Diallo pitched in 16 points, four rebounds and matched a career-high seven assists.
Quimari Peterson contributed 13 points, 11 of those coming in the first 20 minutes, matching his most in a half this season.
Bryson Tucker scored in double digits for the second time since returning from injury, notching 11 points and four rebounds in 28 minutes against his former team.
Franck Kepnang recorded his seventh game of the season with 3+ blocks after swatting three tonight and registering nine in the past two games.
The Huskies shot 22-for-25 (88%) from the free throw line, with 24 of their 25 attempts coming in the second half.
Washington concludes the Hoosier State road trip with a visit to Purdue on Wednesday, Jan. 7. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT on the Big Ten Network.
