Pitcher Duel Goes To Indiana In Big Ten First Round

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Washington softball fell in the opening round of the Big Ten Tournament, 2-0, to Indiana on Wednesday at Bittinger Stadium.
UW moves to 34-17 on the season.
Morgan Reimer (15-9) got the start in the circle for Washington going 5+ innings. Sophia Ramuno came on in relief and threw the final two innings with no hits allowed, a walk and two strikeouts.
Indiana broke the scoreless game in the third after a one-out triple and a lineout scored the run. The Hoosiers added a run in the sixth on a leadoff home run.
Giselle Alvarez and Ava Carroll notched hits for the Dawgs while Jadyn Glab, Alvarez, Alexis DeBoer (2) and Alycia Flores drew walks.
The Huskies await the NCAA Selection Show on Sunday, May 11. The show will air at 4 p.m. PT on ESPN2.
