
UW Women’s Soccer Signs German International Anouk Westphal

SEATTLE – Washington head women's soccer coach Nicole Van Dyke has announced an addition to the Huskies' incoming freshman class with the signing of German international Anouk Westphal.
Westphal, a defender from Berlin, will join the Huskies following stints at German professional clubs Hertha BSC and Union Berlin.

• Called up to German U16 National Team in 2021
• Competed in German U17 National Team training camp in 2022
• Also competed in the UEFA Development Tournament in 2022
CLUB
• Saw action in 14 matches for Hertha BSC during the 2024-25 Regionalliga Nordost first half
• Scored in Hertha's 3-0 victory over FC Viktoria
• Also competed in Hertha's DFB-Pokal cup matchup with Wolfsburg
• Began career at Union Berlin, competing for the club's U17 squad
